FMA belongs to Arakawa-sensei. Totally. XD

Last year

Al Heidrich refrained from commenting, because if he opened his mouth he'd be tagged as a pessimist. So he let the childish games go on.

"And what did you do today?"

Ed took a sip of his orange juice. "I helped Al with his rockets."

Noah grinned at Al, and asked again, "What did you do yesterday?"

He smiled and took the glass from his lips. "I stayed home reading, the weather sucked."

Grabbing the basket she snatched a sandwich, and gave one to Al and one to Ed. "And last week?"

Al didn't want to object, but he knew where the word game was heading. Instead, he took a bit from the sandwich and kept on silent, knowing by the glint in Ed's eyes that the other blonde knew as well the outcome of the inquisition.

Ed shrugged. "I helped Mr.Hughes make a move on Mrs.Gracia."

"Really?" Noah let out a faint chuckle. "He'll propose to her, won't he?"

"Most likely," Ed replied.

The tanned girl beamed. "What do you think, Al?"

"Naturally," Al mouthed, "Almost all the city knows it. Trust Hughes to tell everyone."

They laughed.

"So, what did you do last month?"

Ed seemed to ponder on that one. "I went to London, to visit a man called Hohenheim."

Al's eyes darkened, but Ed didn't flinch when Noah asked the following question.

"What did you do last year?"

"Last year?" Ed smiled wryly. "I died."

Sorry, this came into my mind and I HAD to write it. I know it's odd, I just hope it's not too OOC. R&R!
