*I don't own Sailor Moon and such so don't sue...
~~~~ Usagi stepped next to the door of her home while pulling on her jacket. "I'm going now!" she called to someone in the next room.
"Alright," they answered back, coming forth to see her off. "Are you sure you don't need any help? I can still come with you to tell them."
She smiled, "No, I'll be fine."
"Okay then. Good luck!"
Usagi quickly kissed them goodbye before bouncing down the steps to the sidewalk below. She walked along slowly, heading towards the arcade where Motoki worked at, practicing her speech as she went. "Mamoru, there's something I need to tell you," she said to herself, editing as she strolled. "I'm not. err. I can't ."
She abruptly stopped when she came to the doors of the arcade, seeing Motoki and Mamoru inside. Sighing largely, Usagi entered, meeting them both at the counter.
"Usagi!" her black-haired boyfriend greeted her, eyes lit at the sight of her. "Just the person I was hoping to see."
She hated having to do this, but she didn't have a choice. She couldn't pretend anymore. "Mamoru, I have to-"
"There's something I need to tell you, Usagi," he interrupted.
She wrinkled her eyebrows, thinking, `Okay, I'll just tell him when he's done. It's waited this long already.'
Mamoru fidgeted in his chair before turning to look at her. "We've been friends before we were going out right?"
".Yeah." `Where'd Motoki go to?'
"But no relationship can last forever right?" He looked almost hopeful at her.
`Is he trying to break up with me?' "Right. What are you trying to tell me?"
His head turned away from her, eyes downcast. "I guess what I'm saying is that I want to go back to being just friends.?"
Her eyes opened wide and her mouth dropped. "Uhhh. OKAY!"
Mamoru tensed as if expecting her to go off on him and explode. But instead, she was agreeing? He spun around just in time to see her skipping out the door, blonde pigtails flying behind her.
She sung to herself as she entered into the daylight, "That was easier than I thought!"
Back in the arcade, Mamoru was still stunned by what just happened. Motoki appeared again, commenting, "See, I told you it would work out."
"Yeah, but I didn't think it would by THAT much." Mamoru faced the boy behind the counter. "Do you think she had any clue?"
"No, she's a little too dense for that. But that suits me. Although, I do hope she gets a different coat."
"Yeah, purple is not her color."
Usagi hung up her jacket after entering her home once more. "I'm home!!" She quickly found her way to the living area where a person lay on the couch, reading a book. "I told him. Or rather he told me."
They looked up as Usagi stood above them, "What do you mean by that?"
Usagi didn't bother with the details, cutting straight to the point instead. "I mean, we can finally be alone." She climbed on top of her roommate, straddling their waist, taking the book from them and tossing it aside.
The roommate laughed at the sight of the blonde above her. "Again?"
"Of course! Any objections?" Usagi lowered herself, gradually undoing the buttons on the shirt below her.
"Not at all."
