I don't know. I felt as if I should write this. I'm always doing mysterious things but I felt like this was right! I'm so weird.
Disclaimer: ;( I wish…
Pain. That's what went through every vein in her body. Her heart ached as more and more words entered her ear. "Please! No more." she seemed to say. But no one was listening. She had mended her brotherish friend, Rhodeys heart. As well as Tony, her love, from a heart breaking truth. But her? No. She was still broken. Her heart was severed in two and no matter how much love pours into it's cracks, it's broken.
It was her mother. Yes. Sleeping soundly in her room her father had abruptly woken up his slumbering wife. Furious and face filled with rage she explained to him the hardships of working, having a kid, and being a wife. The argument was no longer than 5 minutes before the wife had angrily turned around facing away from her husband. From that day on argument after argument, fight after fight erupted within the home forcing the young girl to cower in her room. At that time she had no friend other than mr. Snuggles, her beautiful panda stuffed animal. Tears of pain stream down her face onto her cheek as she wasn't able to bare the pain anymore.
Sobs. Silent painful sobs. Each tear hurt as if a scapula was dissecting her heart. She stifled back a yelp as she heard a door slam and am angry yell, "OKAY FINE THEN!" was heard. Divorced, she didn't want to think that but her parents had gotten a divorce.
That night was years ago but to this day she sat in the corner of her room hugging a picture of her mom and dad together dancing, laughing, and kissing. She wanted that day to come back. She wanted her mom and dad back together. But it was far from ever happening. 10 years since the divorce and still she was thinking about it. RIIING! Tony?
That one boy alone had poured enough of love into her heart to at least piece it together. She loved him. Too much. "Tony?" she didn't notice the tears on her face.
"Pepper... Come to the park at 5. No questions." and that was it. End of the call. Checking the clock, it read 4:30, she got dressed and told her father where she was going.
The cold breeze reminded her too much about her mom and dad's life breaking apart. It was a cold day, an icy brittle layer that prevented either of the parents to understand what they had did wrong. She was suddenly interrupted by a hands in her waist. Gasping in surprise the hands expertly flipped her onto her back as soft warm lips pushed against hers. She smiled again and her heart was mending faster than ever. She was dipped and the kissing continued. After minutes, they broke for air. "Tony..." she whispered. He stood above her with the sun outlining his lean body.
"Hey there beautiful." he took her hand and quickly led her to a bench. "I...I want to tell you something..."
"Okay..." She was nervous but the smile on his face said otherwise. Slowly he got up out of the bench knelt on one knee and opened a box revealing a silver band encrusted in thick diamond studs.
"Patricia Anne Potts, will... Will you marry me?" his eyes showed truth and love and all she could do was gap at him. Then smiling brightly she held her left hand out.
"Of course Tony. I thought you would never ask." Pepper Potts knew that her life would be perfect with him. He was the one she wanted. He was it. Her dream had come true.
And Pepper Potts knew her heart was mended.
I was like Pepper Potts yesterday. No my mom and dad don't have a divorce, nor am I old enough to get married. But they did fight and well I had to help myself out. No need for "Oh I'm sorry…" Its not that I don't want them its just that I don't want to feel like people have to respond to me saying those things. I would feel like a compliment hugger or something… ANYHOOO!
ITS WENDESDAY! YAY!(BOO) :D
LOL! Chao peeps!
