(A/N: For the record...I seriously don't want Claire to die! But...if she DID die...hopefully it would go like this.)

CLAIRE'S DEATH SCENE

Setting: It's a gorgeous night at the beach. Brilliantly bright stars are sprinkled all across the deep blue/black sky. The beach is empty except for CLAIRE, who is dying in CHARLIE'S arms. They are by the water, which is dark and calm. "Life and Death" (the song playing in that scene when Jack saves Charlie's life after he gets hung) is playing quietly in the backround.

CLAIRE: Charlie, I...

CHARLIE: Hold on, Claire.

CLAIRE: I can't...

CHARLIE: What about the baby? The baby needs you. (Quietly) I need you. Please, Claire...

CLAIRE: Charlie, I want you to take Aaron.

CHARLIE: I can't. He doesn't need me, Claire, he needs his mother. There can't be any one else, remember? He can't be raised by another.

CLAIRE: If another could ever raise him...it would be you.

CHARLIE: (starts to cry) Claire...

CLAIRE: Do you know "Catch a falling star"?

CHARLIE: And put it in your pocket...

CLAIRE: Will you sing it...to Aaron? Tell him about me...tell him (coughs) tell him I love him, okay?

CHARLIE: He loves you, Claire... and so do I.

CLAIRE: I love you too.

(She dies)
