Author's Note: Set after the Battle of Grunwald, when Lithuania saves Poland from Prussia (then representing the Teutonic Knights). Sadly, I don't own Hetalia.

Lithuania honestly couldn't understand how Poland could manage to live in a house that was this messy. He had been looking for the armor polish for the last ten minutes, through every cupboard and drawer, and it was nowhere to be found. He knew he could have just asked Poland where to find it. However, since this was going to be his home for the foreseeable future, he felt that he needed to get used to living there, and find things himself. Finally, he looked in the kitchen, fully expecting to be disappointed, but there, behind the dishes was an innocuous bottle of armor polish. He returned to the spot where his armor was laid out, vowing that he would organize everything soon. He had already wiped off the dirt and blood from his armor, so he set about rubbing the polish in, to return the armor to its former shining glory.

"Liet, you were like totally my knight in shining armor back there," Poland said suddenly from where he was seated, across the room.

"Huh?" Lithuania replied, completely bewildered as to how Poland could have made a statement so similar to his last thought.

"You know all the stories where the knight in shining armor totally saves the damsel in distress?" Poland replied, as he stood up.

"Well, yes," Lithuania replied, "but you're not really a damsel," he added, blushing slightly. He really didn't need to think about Poland wearing a dress. Especially since he would probably look good in it, with that slim figure and that silky blonde hair and those big green eyes… And then he suddenly realized what he was actually thinking about, and forcibly snapped himself out of it. This was his best friend he was imagining in a dress.

"No, I'm not," Poland agreed. Lithuania sighed in relief, although he wasn't really sure why. He relaxed for a moment until he realized that Poland was moving steadily closer to him, so he stood, feeling almost as though he needed to be prepared; but for what, he wasn't sure.

"But I wouldn't mind being your damsel in distress," Poland added more quietly than usual as he stopped a mere foot from Lithuania.

This time, all Lithuania could do was open and close his mouth, trying to think of the proper words to express his confusion.

"Don't try to deny that you've been thinking about this too," Poland said in a quiet tone that made him shiver, even though it wasn't any colder. If anything, it was actually starting to feel warmer.

"Thinking about what?" he asked, trying to look away from those piercing green eyes, but only succeeding in being captivated by a surprisingly nice looking mouth. After a moment, he tore his eyes away.

"This," Poland replied, before kissing Lithuania right on the mouth.

Poland's lips were as warm and soft as they had looked, and that warmth spread from his mouth to his chest and stomach and down further still. His heart sped up until it was beating as fast as it had in battle earlier that day.

After what seemed like an eternity, but was in reality only seconds, Poland pulled away, and Lithuania was left breathing quickly, with a not entirely unpleasant tingling feeling on his lips.

"See, it's not so bad being my knight in shining armor, is it," Poland said, smiling triumphantly back at him.

"I suppose it isn't," Lithuania replied. He wouldn't mind saving Poland again if it meant he got this as a reward.
