The Dream

The Dream

I awoke later to a familiar sound,

'Twas the waves of the ocean pounding away at the rocks

I opened my eyes to see the glimmer of the pale sunlight hidden behind the leaves,

I realized that if I walked along the forest path, I would feel that gentle ocean breeze

I began to wander towards that mystifying sound,

But something caught hold of me and turned me around,

It was my friend's voice, he was pulling me deeper, deeper into the darkest part of the wood.

He told me to run, and I wondered "why"?

Someone else called out my name and told me to run,

Jacob; now writhing in pain on the ground below me began to scream

I cried out his name but alas, I was too late.

On the ground before me where my friend had been was a snarling auburn colored red eyed wolf.

Yet when he turned to face me, he held a protective, almost loving look in his eyes

Then, I heard a new voice,

It was cold and cruel, devoid of the usual warmth it held towards me,

It was HIS voice

His skin was glowing with a faint light, and his eyes were bottomless coals.

As he came out of the shadows, the wolf at my feet snarled at him as if to say "get back"

He told me quietly to trust him

The wolf got ready to pounce,

Edward just stood there, smiling,

As the wolf jumped, I just screamed "NO"

Then all went dark.
