This is Ginny's reflection on her times with Tom Riddle as he spoke to her through his diary. I am sorry the spacing isn't the best it doesn't seem to work on my computer. Please read and review. Thank you.
Heart Races
Trying to hide what is right on your face
A giant black mark you can't seem to erase
And you try and you hide, let the writing subside
Can't keep pace, it's a race
And I'm winning
You try to avoid that which you can't replace
A heart but no mind can make you a disgrace
And you lie and you tried but it's too deep inside
Can't keep pace, it's a race
And you're losing
Can't you see it's the wrong path you're choosing?
And I said I could help if you joined my embrace
Get rid of the marks that I traced on your face
And I was there when you cried but you had too much pride
Can't keep pace, it's a race
And I lost
And now I'm the one trying to hide my face
So that you can't see what I now can't erase
And now I try and I hide, won't the writing subside?
It was no race, it's a chase
And you won
But you chased the wrong one, Can't you see what's begun?
Now I am done because I've been outdone
And you can't win what's already been won
