Reassurance
"So, you think they'll be okay?" Keiko asked. She kept her tone light, showing only mild curiousity, and her attention was consumed by her futile attempts to smooth the wrinkles from her skirt.
"It's not like we can do anything about it if they aren't." Shizuru shrugged, lighting another cigarette.
"But. . ."
"Relax, girl. They're both too dumb to know when they're beat." Genkai cut her off irritably. Shizuru flicked her cigarette and ground it out, but didn't light another. Keiko's hands clutched her knees but the edges of her lips slowly curved upwards.
"Yeah. I guess they are." She giggled.
