Alex's heart leapt as she looked out her window and saw Mason standing outside the sub shop with a bouquet of flowers clearly debating whether or not to talk to her. She hesitated for a second before she couldn't wait anymore and ran downstairs with a smile on her face to greet him. Alex opened the door for him, but nobody was there. Her heart sank and she went upstairs to her bedroom.
Mason stood outside the sub shop with a bouquet of flowers. They hadn't talked in a while –him and Alex but he wasn't about to let her get away. She was funny, beautiful, brave, sexy and smart and everything he ever wanted in a woman. He needed her to know that he was in love with her. He took a deep breath a closed his eyes. It would take some courage but he was ready, there was nothing to lose because Mason was nothing without Alex. He opened the door and entered the sub shop and stood in the doorway. Mason felt very out of place with his flowers while the people around him messily ate large sandwiches. He was just looking around for Alex when he felt a hand gab the back of his shirt and pull hard dragging him across the restaurant. Mason struggled to keep his feet moving backwards fast enough to prevent himself from falling on his back but finally the hand stopped tugging and Mason's feet caught up to his body. "What?" he said as he wheeled around to find himself face to face with Dean.
Dean watched as Mason walked into the shop with a bouquet of flowers and looked around. This was his one chance to get what he came for- Alex Russo, his first- and only- love. Mason starting looking around and turned his back on Dean. Dean stood up, grabbed Mason by the back of his shirt and pulled him across the room to a corner. Mason turned around to face Dean. His facial expression immediately turned from angry to an expression of surprise. "What are you doing here?" asked Mason "I think we better chat privately." Replied Dean as he led Mason out of the shop and to a park not 50 ft. from Waverly Place.
Alex returned to her room to see Dean and Mason standing outside her window yet again. This was too much of a coincidence for Alex and her curiosity won as she ventured downstairs again to find neither Dean nor Mason outside the sub shop. She turned around to go back inside and nearly bumped into a boy. The boy was about her age. "Hi." Alex said. She was attracted to his ginger-ness. "I'm Alex." She continued talking. "Hi, I'm Ron Weasley." The boy said then he finished tying his shoes and hopped off finishing first in the 10 millionth monthly New York City 1 mile on 1 foot race.
Mason and Dean sat in the park the only two sitting on the bench. Technically they were sitting on a bench at a bus stop across the street from the park but the scene is much nicer if we pretend they were in the park. Dean began to talk. "My family died in a freak windstorm and I need to talk to someone about my feelings but I don't know who. So you looked like a nice stranger." Mason replied immediately "Oh. This is weird because you have no clue who I am; but I know who you are." "You do?" "Yeah. You're the ex-boyfriend." "How do you know that?" asked Dean. "I'm also an ex-boyfriend." Sighed Mason. "Well, that reminds me," Dean started. "I want her back." "Who?" "Alex. I came back for her." Dean spoke with confidence.
