Journeys
Harry potter Anita Blake crossover: After the war Harriet 'Harry' Potter finds herself alone and jaded. Without a purpose and all alone in a world which idealizes her she decides to leave it all to live a quiet live in St Louis. Pity nothing ever goes to plan for Harry Potter...
Every journey starts with a small step...
It felt almost anti climatic now. The war was over. All that death and destruction was coming to an end. She should have been happy. She should have rejoiced with the rest of the wizarding, but she couldn't. Harriet 'Harry' Potter felt positively empty.
She lived the first few days of post war life in a daze. It felt, to her, as if she was walking through a living dream. Colours, sounds and shapes passed her by leaving no impression. Nothing registered.
She became a recluse. Hidden away within her godfather's former abode, Number 12 Grimmauld Place. Kreacher, of course, served his mistress with his usual zeal and for many weeks was Harry's only connection to the outside world.
Life continued, as it is prone to do, without touching the young witch... until one day she woke up and cried. She cried for her friends and lost comrades. She cried for the state of the wizarding world and for the fall of Hogwarts. She even cried for Draco Malfoy, the prick, who in retrospect wasn't the biggest bastard on the face of the planet.
After she had cried her fill and then cried some more she felt... alive and for the first time in a long time she wanted to live. Live a full life.
So it was with great resolve that she sat down, in the Black family library, and when through the impressive property portfolio she had inherited. Within 2 hours she had found what she was looking for. A stately town house located in the city of St. Louis, Missouri.
A life of anonymity was what she craved above all... But as we all know Harriet is a trouble magnet and a girl as interesting and as powerful as her is bound to be noticed...
