Silence is a mere word of empty echoes.

Long was gone the smile in her face, only the memories would sometimes lash out of her eyes with tears. She had given time for her wounds to heal. Too much was given. Even more was wasted.

The sunlight was bright and warm, but she would refuse to even acknowledge it. Her mind was drifting away, in between dreams and reality, as her body was slowly, softly swinging back and forth, her feet not even touching the ground, her eyes laying on her toes, melancholic. Nostalgic.

Her jacket was left on the nearest table. Following the wind's gentle kiss, it fell on the ground.

A piece of something got out of the pocket. A picture.

Two young girls. One had brown hair, the other's head was blue. A simple image, friendly, pure.

A memory of a long gone past, filled with coffee stains for being looked at a million times.

She looked at it, as her mind was slowly falling adrift. Her heavy heart eased a little as she put a little smile on her face.

-I am sorry…

She murmured softly.

The chair finally fell off, and like a dream, she finally let herself rise to the echoes of her past.
