Hi all, this is a series of 5 letters written during the Civil War. They're written by various Twilight characters. All Human. I hope you enjoy.

In this letter, Alice is a woman posing as a Confederate soldier. She is writing to Bella Swan.

July 24, 1861

Dear Isabella,

I will tell you a secret, but you mustn't tell a soul. I have cut my locks short and donned the regalia of a Confederate. The volunteer office was so desperate for soldiers that they didn't even give an exam, just asked my name, age, and current state of health. Bella, that was not all. The other day was our first battle, the Battle of Bull Run. Thomas Jackson led us into the skirmish and I shot a Union soldier. The ball from my rifle penetrated his breast, leaving a gaping wound behind. His heart was exposed and I watched it cease to beat as mine raced on at immeasurable speeds. I cannot express how deeply horrified I was. The younger soldiers could hardly look at the men they stole futures from. In the end, the Union scattered like children on recess. We went back to camp victorious, but I stole away and cried for the men dead. Remember, my dearest friend, my sorrows are untold to any man, woman, or child but you.

Missing you terribly,

Alice "Al" Brandon

I really hope you liked it! The next letter will be the battle of Antietam. Suggestions for the characters would be fabulous!
