My Journal
Day One, 8 a.m.
I've found myself on an island. I don't remember where I came from, or how I got here, or who I am. I don't see any signs of civilization. The island is overrun by wild animals that, strangely, are not hostile. I should explore a little.
11 a.m.
The island is heavily forested. The trees are very flimsy. I can easily down them with my bare hands. If I am to be trapped here, heaven forbid, this will prove useful.
3 p.m.
I have explored a little more, and have found a water spring. It tastes clean, without any trace of pollution. What if there are no others for hundreds of miles? What if I am truly stranded? I need to keep my wits about me. That's the only way to survive.
6 p.m.
I've started building a shelter. It's very simple, just to keep out the cold and rain and animals. I hope it will do until I have better materials.
8 p.m.
I've made a table, and a bed out of sheep's wool.
8:30 p.m.
I hear strange noises outside. Not the noises the animals made. These are gurgles, moans, clatters, snarls and squeaks… I'm curious as to what could make these noises, but I'm afraid to investigate.
11 p.m.
There are monsters on the island. My shelter could not withstand them. I've barricaded underground. I can hear them waiting up above.
I hope I make it until morning.
