Are You Jealous, Ward?

"No training today," he tells her, passing her bunk.

"I know," she answers, not looking up from her laptop.

"You do?" he questions awkwardly, stopping in his tracks and she nods.

"Coulson gave me the day off—I'm going on a date," she informs him.

"Huh," he shrugs it off and returns to his bunk.

It becomes harder to shrug it off when he is sitting in the common area reading as Skye enters wearing a tight, short, little black dress.

"Have you seen my purse? I swear," she grumbles.

"No, sorry," he answers, completely entranced by her appearance.

"Here it is!" she yells, picking up her silver bag. She checks the time. "Ooh! Gotta go. Bye, Robot!" she squeals, exiting the cargo hold and heading for the city.

"Hey, Skye!" he yells, and Skye giggles.

"Hey, Archer!" she greets, giving him a hug. "Been a while," she comments as they take their seats and the waiter pours their wine.

"So, what've you been up to?" he asks, and she comes up with a quick answer.

"I work in I.T. for this law firm in L.A. I just flew in," she lies speedily.

"Huh."

They exchange pleasantries about each other's jobs, pets, his family, her boss, their hobbies, opinions, politics, and just about everything else before they decide to go to a club after eating.

"This is epic," she marvels at the top notch dance club pounding loud music and spraying neon light. Archer pulls her onto the dance floor, dipping down to place a searing kiss on her lips. She giggled and they began dancing for hours. The population dwindled high and low and Skye forgot all about the team for a little while. It made her feel empty.

"I'll be right back," Skye informs her date before running over to the bathrooms, only to see Ward leaning against the wall with his arms crossed in a tee shirt, jeans, and a leather jacket staring at her intently, cleverness playing in his eyes. "Ward?"

"Skye," he says, leaning close to her, so close, in fact, that she can feel his breath on her ear.

"Ward? Whatcha doing?" she forces a nervous laugh as he lifts her hand, placing a kiss on each knuckle. The action may have been sweet coming from anyone else, but he manages to make it incredibly…sexy. "Let me blow off my date first, m'kay?" she breathes, and he nods, backing away so she can leave. She casts him a smile before she walks over to the dance floor.

"Hey, Archer," he turns around.

"Hey, Skye," he laughs, wrapping his arms around her. She squirms.

"I'm sorry…um, my boss just called. I have an early meeting tomorrow. I hate to leave like this, but…"

"It's cool. You need a ride?" he offers.

"Nah. He sent my partner to pick me up. I'll see you maybe." They hug goodbye and she runs back to Ward, who puts his arm around her shoulders as they disappear through the crowd.

In the car, she stops him from driving just yet. "Ward?" she whispers softly. He turns to her and a malicious grin spreads across her face. "Were you jealous, Agent Ward?"

"I'm not jealous," he responds gruffly.

"You totally were. I mean, how else do you explain showing up on my date, waiting for me, and then kissing my hand? You were jealous!" she squeals happily and he starts the ignition. She pulls the key out again, grabbing his face and kissing it. Of course, he responds, tugging her closer until they are pressed up against each other. "Like I said," Skye pants, "you were jealous."

"What can I say?" he asks her sincerely. "You're worth being jealous over."

"Aw, Robot! That is so sweet,"

"Shut up," he defends jokingly.

"Me, shut up? Never!"

"Let's go." He starts the car.

They drive.

And they never look back.

THE END.

A/N: I know, I know. This was short, but still-I'll ask for a review?
