It was the final battle. All would end tonight, Voldemort was certain of that. Harry Potter would fall and the Wizarding World would be without a savior to help them. They would lose hope, and hope was the most dangerous thing. Without that, they would be nothing but slaves and pawns for him.
Voldemort felt a large, cold body wrap around his ankles, and he looked down to see Nagini twining between her master's legs. Voldemort smiled malevolently, stroking long, pale fingers down the serpent's head.
"Soon, my precious." He rasped, his voice so different from how it used to be. When he had his own body, instead of this monstrous creation. However, it would do. Voldemort could not be hindered by a mortal body.
"Harry Potter will come to us, and we will kill him. We will triumph." Voldemort wheezed. Nagini's tongue flicked out as if in agreement, her yellow eyes meeting the narrow slits of Lord Voldemort's. Then the door creaked open and both of the snakes looked to see Severus Snape entering, body stiff and straight.
"You asked for me, My Lord?" Severus inquired, bending into a low bow. Lord Voldemort gave a bloody smile and moved forward to extract the last bit of information he would require from his faithful servant.
