The redheaded girl sighed...
Ever since that one encounter with a certain Ruff, she couldn't help but think about him...
She liked him, she knew that now... But no matter how much she'd like to tell him...
She knew they were too alike yet very distant from one another...
She and he enjoyed scary movies, taking strolls during the night, staring at the stars, maybe even having a little "fun"...
The girl was currently sitting by the beach, staring right up at the stars... Totally zoned out of her surroundings.
Everything was peaceful, quiet... It was the perfect scene...
"So I see you still enjoy doing this," came the remark from none other than Brick.
"What's it to you?," she asked stubbornly, she hadn't wanted to talk to him... Yet she kind of did...
"Geez... Bersy, there's no need to get all defensive, it's only me," he said in a serious tone.
She stood up and simply stared at him, and demanded for an answer, "I asked you a question... Answer it."
"Okay, what's bothering you?," he asked in a serious tone...
She scoffed and just glared at him, "What I do is none of your concern... So just beat it, will you?"
He stares deep into her eyes, "Don't do that... It's bad to bottle up your feelings."
She blushed slightly as she looked deep into his eyes, his face showed concern... It was evident...
"Stop that," she told him, as she quickly turned away from him...
"What do you-" he started, yet got cut off by the girl...
"Everything was fine until you came along," she said quietly, yet enough for him to hear, "my life was just as it should have been... But then you came... And..."
The boy simply stared at her, waiting for her to continue...
But she didn't... Instead she just walked over to him and hugged him softly... As if wanting to say something...
She tiptoed a bit until her face could reach up to his ear, then whispered, "and made me love you..."
As soon as she said them, she backed away and turned her back towards him... She didn't even think about staring at him, knowing as his response would be obvious... Too obvious...
The girl wasn't stupid, she knew how the guy was... Yet she couldn't help, but love him.
Seeing as there was only silence between them... The girl started to walk away... There wasn't any need for her to stay anyway... He's made his response clear to her or so she thought.
However, she was caught off guard once Brick pulled her closer to him, "Don't walk away from me, Bersy. I, too, must tell you something..."
She just stared at him, a feeling of hope lingering... But, she couldn't be too hopeful...
He pulled her closer and kissed her lips gently, "I love you too..."
She simply smiled, "Took you a while, huh?"
He laughed slightly, "Yeah... But we're fine now..."
She nodded, "We sure are."
"Now how about another kiss from my lady?"
"I don't see why that can't be arranged."
Needless of words, the two shared another sweet kiss...
One that meant, "I will always stay by your side."
