Okay. So this is really short. But I like it alot, maybe its because I just love GerIta. Its another SongFic, Hand Grenade by The Almost.
Hand Grenade
For the first time in four hours Ludwig looked up from the paperwork he was doing to see what exactly his Italian fiance was doing. What he saw made his heart melt.
Feliciano was curled up in the armchair in the corner of the room. His hair was slightly askew, wearing one of Ludwig's undershirts that went down mid-thigh on the small Italian. He must've fallen asleep waiting for the German man to finish his work.
Ludwig sighed and looked back at his work. He knew in the back of his mind that he could wait until tomorrow to finish it; but he also knew that tomorrow there would be a whole new stack of papers to work on from his boss.
His strict work ethic wouldn't let him leave his work unfinished. In the beginning of the relationship between Feliciano and himself, Ludwig's work ethic almost ruined their relationship.
Feliciano, being some years younger than Ludwig, had it in his mind that work didn't matter as much as being out and about with the one you love. So he felt rejected when Ludwig would refuse one or two dates with him in favor of paperwork.
In the end it took Ludwig sitting down and explaining to Feliciano that he indeed did love him and want to be with him, that he just needed to have all his work finished in order to have the things that he did; like his house, car, and three dogs.
After they moved in together, every night that Ludwig had work Feliciano would wait in Ludwig's study until the German man finished with his paperwork.
Looking back at his fiance, he felt nothing but love. He had found the one person who would put up with his stubborn nature, his strict work ethic, and his slightly bland personality. He found someone who he would do anything for, no matter the consequences.
Half an hour later, Ludwig was finished with his homework. He stood quietly and walked over to Feliciano and kissed him softly on the lips.
"Vee~ Good morning Ludwig," Feliciano wiped the sleep from his eyes and smiled at the man above him.
Ludwig chuckled, "Feli, it isn't morning. I just thought I'd wake you before heading to bed."
"Ludwig, Carry me?"
The German reached out his arms and picked up the smaller Italian. Feliciano clung to Ludwig, sighing in content.
When they reached their bed room, Ludwig laid Feliciano on the bed they shared and quickly stripped down to his boxers to join his fiance. Feliciano smiled as he felt Ludwig's arms surround him.
"I love you Ludwig," Feliciano said just before sleep returned to him.
"And I love you Feliciano," Ludwig then fell into a peaceful sleep with his world in his arms.
