President Obama had always loved chess. That's why he was at a shop made specifically for lovers of chess. 'Chess house wonders' is what the place was called. He often came here to browse the store, buy his favorite Carmel frappe, and play chess with whoever was willing. Barak was always in disguise though. He wore a fake mustache, a wig, and wasn't always the best disguise, but it got the job done. No one had recognized him…. Yet. He ordered his coffee and sat at one of the chess tables, waiting for someone to approach him.

Jared Williams wasn't planning on visiting the chess shop that day. But as it came into view, he instinctively pulled into the parking lot. He sent his wife a text, letting her know that he would be getting home a little late. He knew she wouldn't mind, so he didn't wait for a reply. He slipped out of his car, and went inside. Jared walked up to the coffee counter, ordering a mocha frappe. After he got his coffee, he wandered the store, looking at all the different sort of chess sets. One of the sets caught his interest. He picked up the box, flipping it over to see the price.

Fwooh….

It was quite expensive… especially when he didn't get paid that well as a teacher… he set the box down, sighing quietly as he walked up and down the aisles. It wasn't long before he caught sight of the mysterious looking man sitting at one of the tables. The man was wearing a wig, and a fake mustache. And the sunglasses…. You couldn't see through them…. It was quite obvious that this man didn't want to be recognized….. Was he a robber…? He could be dangerous…. It was too bad that Jared loved mysteries. He walked over to the man, sitting across from him. He actually seemed familiar…. He had defiantly seen this man somewhere before….. Maybe from high school..? Or maybe even collage…. It had to be something of that nature. "Care to play?" Jared smiled at the man across from him, showing off his white teeth.

Barak was surprised when such a handsome man sat across from him. He barely heard him when he requested a game. "Uh… sure." He tried to keep a blush from sprouting on his cheeks. He tilted his face downwards so the other couldn't see, starting to set up the chess board.

Even the man's voice sounded familiar. Jared wished he would see the man's face…. But then the mystery would be solved, and it would no longer be fun. He reached under the table, fishing out his chess pieces and setting them up. Jared set his last piece on the board, finishing about the same time that the strange man did. The man wasn't moving. It almost looked like…. This man… was staring at him. His own cheeks dusted a light pink.

What the heck?!

Jared was blushing like a school girl! This wasn't how he usually acted! He was a confident man! Not some blushy teen boy! "White goes first…" he finally managed, keeping his voice as cool as he could.

Barak jumped slightly, realizing that he had been staring at the man across from him. He blushed an even deeper color, looking down at the board. He was white. "Ah... youre right" he laughed awkrardly, moving his chess piece. He had no idea why he was acting this way! He was the president for god's sake! He was supposed to be confident! He was supposed to have an answer for everything! But this man…. He made him feel like he was back in school…. Like when he got butterflies in his stomach after locking eyes with a girl…

Jared moved his piece almost immediately after the other man. This part of the game didn't really require much intellect. Once the pieces got closer to one another, that's when the game really began.
