Just a little drabble inspired by that fabulous Eyes Open scene in the hospital when Fiona says, "I thought you were..." They could have done so much more with that! LMAO. Oh well. Guess that's our job. Enjoy!

Jesse shot Michael.
That was the sentence replaying over and over in Fiona Glenanne's head as she and Sam Axe raced down the highway.
Jesse shot Michael.
Whatever reasons he had for doing it, Jesse had spilled Michael's blood. Her stomach churned miserably, and she could barely breathe as she pressed harder on the gas pedal.
In the passenger's seat, Sam clutched the dashboard and kept his eyes on the road, searching for the vehicle that Barett had shoved Mikey into. He had seen the bullet take down his best friend, fired from Jesse's gun, and he had felt like the bullet hit him. He told Fiona that Jesse did it to save Michael's life, but that didn't take away the shock and fear they both felt for his life.
Up ahead, Fiona spotted an overturned vehicle, and she slammed on the brakes.
Jesse shot Michael.
As soon as the car skidded to a stop, Fiona jumped out and raced toward the overturned vehicle. She could see Michael sprawled out on the ground, blood soaking his shirt, and she couldn't get to him fast enough.
Sam was right behind Fiona, his heart pounding at the sight that greeted them.
Jesse shot Michael.
Finally Fiona reached Michael's side, and as she dropped to her knees beside him, she was terrified that they were too late. "Oh God, Michael…"
Sam knelt down across from Fiona and quickly checked Michael's pulse. "He's alive." His voice was laced with relief.
She nodded, gently pushing Michael's damp hair back as Sam began applying pressure to the gunshot wound that was pumping blood out at an alarming rate. In the distance, they could hear the faint wails of a siren. Help was on the way. They didn't know how they would explain this, but for the moment, that wasn't at the top of their list of concerns. For the moment, they simply concentrated on keeping Michael alive.
"Come on, Mikey. Stay with us." The warmth of his best friend's blood soaking his clothing and staining Sam's hands terrified the former SEAL, but he tried not to let it show.
Jesse shot Michael.
Shuddering, Fiona leaned over and, in a rare display of open affection, kissed Michael's forehead.
"Don't leave me, Michael."
And in the aftermath of the shooting and wreck, kneeling in the broken glass and cradling Michael's head in her small hands, Fiona sent up a silent prayer to God, begging Him not to take Michael from her. Not this soon. Not like this.
"Amen."
The End.
A/N: Aww, Fi... I can see her being gentle when the situation warrants it. LOL. When he's not on the verge of death, she's quite comfortable with knocking the stupid out of him. LMAO. Thanks for reading, and please review!
