Prince and his Princess Poem
There's tale long forgotten
Told by one un-named
Of a prince and his princess
Who were lead to be shamed
A green light bursting
From enchanted wood
One down, two to go
He walked where the man had stood
Upstairs there was screaming
A plea undeterred
Love for a small babe
Left her to be murdered
But it wouldn't work on him
He was protected by his mother
So the hooded figure left
Because he could not hurt another
Through the doors came a man
Dressed all in black
A haunted look upon his face
A dark cloak on his back
He sailed past the dead man
Up the stairs on his right
He floundered in the bedroom
When he saw the sad sight
A baby was crying
His mother was dead
The man sat down, that night
And many a tear he shed
He gathered her in his arms
Crying out to death
"Save her, take me!" he pleaded
But she had lost her final breath
In a distant land
Far away from hurt
An old man awaited
The man who last held her
The old man shook his head
"You promised" he heard the other say
He turned and looked at him
on his knees in total disarray
And there is it, the tale
of who I cannot show
But where a lily dies
A great force then can grow.
