Zuhogakure. The Village Hidden in the Blossoms. It was located in the Land of Fire near the border of the Land of Grass. Three orphans lived in this village. One of these orphans was named Ryu Shugojin. Ryu lay on his back observing the sky smiling at the occasional cherry blossoms that floated through the air. He had dark hair and bright green eyes. He was average in height and a little thin according to some of the ladies at the orphanage but his smile was wide and pleasant.
"Such a beautiful day. Blue sky, white clouds. It's a good day for a new start." He rolled backwards and pushed off the ground with his hands, flipping and landing gracefully on his feet. He wandered to the edge of the building and pausing to strap on the swords he'd left on the ledge jumped off.
Elsewhere another boy sat on a tree branch looking up through the leaves to the sky above. He too smiled up at the world's ceiling, similar thoughts of new adventures filling his head. Haru was almost the exact same size as Shugojin but beyond that the two were completely different. Haru had silver grey hair and blue eyes with flecks of yellow, like gold coins scattered in a lake. A small vertical scar ran through the middle of his right eye. When asked about it he'd simply smile and say that it was "An old family matter," and quickly change the subject.
At roughly the same time that Shugojin was preparing to hop from building to building, Haru checked the position of the sun and similarly departed, making his way from tree to tree until he reached until he reached the city.
A girl sat at the edge of a pond idly skipping rocks across it's surface. She was a little shorter than Shugjin or Haru, but neither would have been happy to have her angry with them. The girl had long black hair that ended in crimson tips, but it was her eyes that most people marked. The girl was strong. Strong in mind, body, and most of all heart, and no one who looked her in the eyes could say differently.
And just as Haru and Shugojin were leaving their places of rest, Suna tossed a single stone and watched it skip it's way to the middle of the lake and sink into the blue-green depths, before standing and continuing her walk to her destination.
