Stormy Night

It was a stormy night out on the Jhoto ocean. A dark shape was moving quickly toward the surface, other ocean dwelling Pokemon darting aside to let the mass through and avoid being hit.

The large shape broke the surface, unheard by anyone or thing, for who would want to be in this weather? Spreading its large wings, the creature gave a mighty flap, and propelled itself through the wind and pouring rain.

As it flew, it passed by an island, and it nodded to the resident thunderbird, Zapdos, who was out enjoying the thunderbolts that struck occasionally.

The creature that had emerged from the oceans depth, was none other than Lugia. But this Lugia was different. She possessed gold colored eyes.

Now Lugia didn't leave the water very often, maybe once or twice every decade or so, instead choosing to sleep for long periods of time.

Lugia kept a keen eye out as she flew. Humans were pretty good at predicting weather, but sometimes storms, like this one, could sneak up on them. Thus there was bound to be a human vessel stranded somewhere.

Lo and behold, Lugia located one not long after. Diving back into the dark waters, she swam closer to the bobbing boat. The humans aboard were scrambling around trying to keep ahold of things as waves crashed around them.

She swam underneath and the boat was small enough, so that when she raised her back spines and rose up a bit, the boat sat between the two rows. Then she swam as swiftly as she dared towards the nearest harbor, releasing the confused yet grateful sailors into the calmer waters, by submerging herself more into the water. Lugia returned the way she came, swimming quickly out of view of the harbor before rocketing out of the water and taking flight once again.

She flew to the island that belonged to the ice bird, Articuno, saying hi to the Legendary who was sheltered in a crevice in part of the island's mountain. She perched on a large rock and chatted for a while until the heavy rain began to let up and the clouds began to disperse.

Saying goodbye to her friend, Lugia once more took to the sky and relished in the few rays of sunlight that shone through the remaining clouds before flying up and doing a backflip before plunging back into the ocean with a splash.

She reached the bottom of the ocean and made her way into an underwater cave. Her nest resided at the end of it, to which she settled into it, a few bubbles leaving her jaws in a contented sigh, as she drifted off into another long sleep.
