A/N: Originally written for LJ's kh drabble community's challenge [263] Bad Guys. Enjoy.

You have bad guys; rough-looking teenagers who make the streets unsafe for all the townsfolk late at night (and sometimes during daytime, too). Vandals, all clad in black, tight leather pants and ditto jackets, that destroyed State property and traveled from place to place with motorcycles that made too much noise. It wasn't so hard to imagine what kind of people these bad guys were.

And then, you have the bad guys Aqua has to put up with; Dark creatures, barely worth being called human, who try to pull her with them into the freezing cold and suffocating Darkness, but not without a fight.

Vanitas was definitely the worst out of them, and the fact that she had no idea what he looked like, only made it worse. She kept meeting him in almost every world she visited. It was like he was stalking her.

As of now, he was telling her the worst things about Terra. Horrible lies. Things that just couldn't be true because Terra would never kill someone, would he?

The glare Aqua shot the masked boy was so intense that even Vanitas was taken aback. This was one of those moments that he was grateful for having his face hidden from others.

"I hate you!" she spat at him, utterly disgusted.

Aqua didn't know why that was the first thing that came to her mind, but she thought that it needed to be said.

At this point, Vanitas felt a painful twinge in his chest that made him feel more than just uncomfortable, but he chose to ignore it for the moment. Instead, he decided to mess with her head some more because that was always a fun thing to do.

"Do you, now? Are you sure? Because it really seems that you secretly enjoy our random encounters."

He slowly started to approach her, but the mage didn't seem to notice that.

"That- that's not true!" Aqua immediately cried, (maybe a little too fast for Vanitas to believe).

Was it?

Aqua frowned, because she wasn't that sure anymore… and what made him think that she did enjoy this?

"Then why haven't you attacked me yet?" he asked, his smirk almost evident in his voice.

He was very close to her now. Close enough to run a gloved hand lightly over her bare arm, giving her goosebumps and making her hair stand upright…

Aqua gasped softly. When her brains started working again, she realized that this movement was for real (and it tickled slightly). Aqua materialized Rainfall, her Keyblade in her hand and threw it his way.

Vanitas barely dodged her attack, and then disappeared into thin air, but not before saying, "I'm looking forward to our next meeting..."

Aqua sighed. She was mad at herself, again. She could've stopped this, before he had gone far enough to say such things.

Then why didn't she stop him? Was it because she was attracted to his dark aura?

Because secretly, she was longing to see him show up again, surprising her?

Because she loved what he did to her, confusing her beyond belief, breaking her slowly and leaving her behind?
