Tony glanced at Banner, raising his eyebrow. Silently asking the other scientist, again, if he was sure about testing this new gadget. Banner sighed and nodded. He was ready to try out the toy, but Tony had asked him so frequently if he was sure, it had begun to tire him out. Tony nodded curtly, linked arms with Banner, held his breath, and pressed the cartoonishly big red button on the remote he was holding. There was a mild electric shock and a pop and suddenly the lab room around them was replaced by a dry grass expanse.
Huge rolling hills and white-grey rocks jutting out dominated the tree-less landscape. A rumbling was growing louder, and the two scientists sprinted to the top of a hill they were near just in time to see a group or horsemen, maybe 300 strong galloping by, holding banners with horse heads on them.
"ROHIRIM!" The leader yelled and held his spear to the right, causing the group to follow him and turn, facing the scientists. "WHAT BUSINESS DO YOU HAVE IN ROHAN?" The leader yelled boldly. Tony looked at Banner, who widened his eyes to express his 'get us out of here.' Tony responded with a 'Uh-huh! On it!" And with another shock and pop they were gone.
Now they were in what appeared to be a ship's bridge, though through the main window all the duo could see were stars in the black void of space.
"Captain!" A man in a blue long sleeved shirt stood. His sleeves bore the mark of a commander, two gold stripes. He had black hair in a ridiculous bowl cut, pointed ears, and eyebrows that arched up, causing the appearance of annoyance or anger.
"I see 'em Spock." A man stood from a centered chair. His shirt was gold and donned three stripes, the mark of a Captain. "Phasers to stun!"
But before anyone else could move Tony pressed the button. And the bridge was gone. Replaced be a brightly lit room filled with many clear cages, not glass, but some sort of pulsating clear energy. Tony and Banner were immediately met by the dark green eyes of none other than Loki Laufeyson. Loki has only narrowed his eyes and cocked his head to the side, just beginning to open his mouth.
"OH HELL NO!" Tony all but yelled, jamming the butting hard. With a tingle and pop, the laboratory room reappeared. Tony threw the controlled onto a table and stared blankly at it for a while.
Banner finally dared to speak.
"Perhaps we could just walk. The Shwarma joint is only a block away…" He faded off.
"Yea." Tony nodded, still watching the controller. "Walking is good."
