Haha..I spent five hours yesterday at a sleepover watching this show, and this is what came to mind.

Enjoy.

Jack had never understood why he had to be perfect.

It was everything; he had to get the perfect grades, have the perfect personality, the perfect hair, the perfect girlfriend. And for a time, he'd had it all.

Now he had average grades, an unpredictable personality, and no girlfriend at all. His hair was still perfect--but when the rest of your life is going to hell, who cares?

He knew exactly when he'd become less than perfect. He could pinpoint the exact moment, the very second that his brain had turned to mush and all reservations he'd ever had had crumbled.

It hadn't been when he sort of failed that biology test.

Not when he'd started rebelling against his parents.

It hadn't even been when he and Grace had split up.

No, that very moment...

Adrian frowned. "What are you talking about?"

"Nothing." Ricky laughed.

He'd laughed.

Jesus Christ, all he'd done was laugh, that bastard, and that had set off some time-bomb in Jack's head that flipped the switch that sent him flying head over heels for Ricky freaking Underwood. Seriously--the guy's very name just oozed disgusting amounts of sensuality, and it seemed to Jack's ears like his voice was stuck on being permanently sexy and persuasive. He really wanted to hate Ricky, and with reason: he hung around with Grace just to get with her, he played Adrian--hell, he played all the women he'd been with--and he'd knocked up Amy. Like that wasn't reason enough for Jack to stay the hell away from him.

But now Ricky had to go and make Jack fall in love with him. What the hell was up with that?

Sometimes Jack really, really, wanted to kind of die. Curl up in a corner somewhere and just never face his problems again.

But then Ricky smiled and Jack remembered that he didn't have to be perfect; he just had to be good enough for Ricky.

And that was fine with him.

But yeah. I think Ricky and Jack would be cooltastic together. So...yeah.
