When he was a young lad of four

There came a startling knock at the door.

It was the middle of dinner

And in the cold winter

And his family had no idea who it could be.

When his mother opened the door

A frighteningly pale woman fell to the floor.

"Kendra? Kendra Dumbledore?"

The red haired woman was pale

And she tried to speak, but to no avail.

His mother sat her down on a chair,

Gave her a glass of water and care

And with an open ear

She sat down to hear

The tale Kendra would bring.

He was a young lad of four

When there came a startling knock on the door.

It was the middle of dinner

And in the cold winter

That he heard the true story of the daughter of a printer.

There was disaster

When her husband turned out to be a bastard

And got shuttled off to Azkaban.

To keep her family out of trouble

She went to get the help of a Muggle.

He paid her debt

And won her the bet

So she was happy for many years.

But now her sons were fighting

And her daughter had died with many years before reuniting.

Kendra was lost

And she had no hope.

He was a young lad of four

When there came a startling knock on the door.

It was the middle of dinner

And in the cold winter

When he decided to help her.

He gave her all the pennies he had saved

He gave her lots of hugs.

He let her cry into his shoulder

And didn't even mind when he caught a bug

He was a young lad of four

When there came a startling knock on the door.

It was the middle of dinner

And in the cold winter

That he decided he loved Kendra Dumbledore.

This is for the 335 Pairing Bonanza Challenge, using the first pairing: Vulchanov/Kendra Dumbledore hosted by Fire the Canon who always has the best competition/challenge ideas ever.

It's not obvious that it's Vulchanov, but I thought that this would be a cute idea so here it is.

I don't own Harry Potter.
