Winter is approaching, all she wanted to do was sleep. Ever since the kiss, Misaki had been avoiding a certain brunette.
"I finally found you my sleeping beauty."
"Kai."
She was about to leave, however he grabbed her wrist.
"I know you're avoiding me, I won't let you go."
She could hardly look him in the eye.
"Why are being like this?" Misaki asked.
"All day, every day I constantly think about you. And I even see you in my dreams."
Misaki blushes at his comments. She looked at him for a mere second, then looked away.
"I'm willingly to give you my heart Misaki, please give me a chance."
"I'm scared Kai, I never been in a relationship before."
"Neither have I."
"I know one thing for sure, I'll never hurt you."
"Why are you trying so hard?" Misaki asked.
"Because you're the only one for me, Misaki Tokura."
He pulled her close into his arms and held her lovingly.
"I love you Misaki."
Her heart fluttered at his words. She felt something stirred inside of her, before she could register what was going on, his lips pressed against hers. She felt a spark when they kiss. It was the most passionate kiss she had ever received. She slowly kisses him back. Misaki was the one to pull away first.
"Happy birthday Misaki."
"You remembered."
"Of course."
She softly smiles at him.
"Close your eyes Misaki."
"Okay," she closed her eyes.
Kai carefully put a golden necklace around her neck.
"You can open your eyes now."
She gasped once she opened her eyes.
"Kai, it's beautiful."
She touches the necklace.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
The two sat down by the riverside, watching the sun set together. Her head was resting on his shoulder as he had his arms wrapped around her waist.
"Kai…"
"Yes?"
"I love you too."
