I shall be honest. I made this story for my performance task in English. -_- Since it could be any culture, I did Japanese and I chose Gary and Misty! Yay. And since even my teacher liked it, I decided I would just post it here. And I'm sort of dead, so don't expect anything.
Disclaimer: Do you think I own anything? Nooopee.
Warning: It's sort of Egoshipping, don't like it, don't even glance at it. And can anyone tell me if this is friendship or romance? I really can't tell. -_-
'Kay, let's start now.
A boy with brown, spiked hair walked past the riverbank, his hands shuffling in his pockets. He looked up and saw the orange sky, indicating it was almost curfew. He went past the green leaves falling down gently around him and looked out at the river.
"Shigeru!"
His head whipped around at the sound of his name and gasped. It was a redhead, dashing towards him with top speed. His instinct was to run away from his enemy, who had constantly hit him and hated him with all the energy she had.
He did just that. He ran as fast as he could, and felt like his soul was coming right out of his body. He went to the grass and took deep breaths, but still saw the girl running.
She passed right by him. She stopped as she realized her mistake and looked back at Shigeru. The two stayed rooted to their spots, having a tiny staring contest.
Her eyes started to water, which was unusual for the tough tomboy.
"K-Kasumi?" she saw the girl walk closer to him with a steady pace.
He was still too tired to move, so he could simply stand there, stuck to his spot. He braced himself for a painful impact, closing his eyes tightly to endure the pain that tiny girl could cause.
But instead, the impact was entirely different.
He was being hugged instead by the girl. "Don't get the wrong idea, Okido. I absolutely despise you, but I don't have anyone else to go to." he barely heard her say. Shigeru stayed silent, confused at her statement.
"Just, listen to me, okay?" he felt himself slowly nodding his head, for he was still unsure of what to answer.
"Arigato!" she cheered quietly. "Let's sit over there?" she asked faintly, pointing to a park bench.
-o-
"I-I'm so sorry." Shigeru commented after listening to Kasumi's story. The story in short; the redhead's friends betrayed her, and well, since they were her ex-friends, he understood why she could only go to her. He was the only other person she talked to.
"Stop mocking me with my misery." She muttered, turning away with a puff.
"Kasumi. I'm not joking, I'm really sorry about what's happened to you, okay?" he stared at Kasumi, who was still looking away with her arms crossed. "Okay, look Carrot."
He ignored the angry comments from Kasumi about how she hated carrots and told her, "Your old friends may have ditched you, but you still have other friends."
"Like whom?" she snapped. Shigeru spotted the tears in her eyes and decided to lower down his tone a little. He got up from the bench and looked directly in the girl's eyes.
"Like me." He walked away, leaving the girl with a confused smile on her face.
"Nani?" she asked herself.
OTL That must have burned out your soul. Oh well, please comment on how bad your soul was burned and we will get no immediate care and a cookie. Also, later I'll just post this story hanging around in my documents that will have Contest, Ikari, and Pokeshipping.
