Orihime believes in three things: food, love, and Ichigo.
On food:
She was always raised to eat whatever she liked, as much as she liked. It was about being healthy, her father would say. She misses her father with every fiber of her being, and the warmth of having family. Staying healthy and well for him, he'd tell her, because she-
-loves him. Orihime loves this boy more than anything, and a part of her doesn't even care if he doesn't reciprocate because it is important that he is happy. To the best of her ability, she will care for him, protect him, and stay by his side, especially when he is fighting and-
-Ichigo has that look in his eye again, the one that is quietly screaming that he is alone and powerful and broken and has never felt more alive. Her breath hitches in her throat when he swings forward and charges at the enemy, and she can't bring herself to follow, because when he is fighting, he doesn't need her. Ichigo doesn't need anyone.
Orihime will keep always keep this secret: sometimes, there just isn't room for her to believe.
