The Taming of the Whore
Inspired by Shakespeare, based on true life
Mark Simon, a senior, at Pope High School was notorious for being a slut and the world's biggest man whore. Naive girls flocked to him for his fair looks and charming manors, underclassmen boys followed him obsessively in hopes of catching some of his mojo. The fact was, there was never such a superficial person as Mark Simons. He was the complete opposite of Kat Anderson.
Kat Anderson was a straight A student. She was quiet, but loved by all whom where around her and thus nicknamed Kitty by her friends. She was a firm believer in staying pure till marriage and thus boys at Pope High School strayed away. She was short with a adorable demeanor and the brightest green eyes. But most outstanding was the fact that she was always smiling. The fact that she was a free-willed, carefree, peace-loving, not-so-graceful girl whose mind was in the heavens was not news to anyone around her.
The reader might ask how could these completely opposite people have any sort of connection? Well, truthfully, they really didn't have one other than having known each other existed since 6th grade. Kitty never talked to Mark because she knew of his reputation and Mark never bothered to get to know Kitty because he was too focused on females whom didn't lock away their chastity.
And so both persons had never really entered the other's mind till an unusual Friday night at the local pizza place, Johnny's. Why is this unusual? Because Mark wasn't with a girls that night, but his grandparent's who had just flew into town the other day. Him and his grandparents sat at a table at the front of the restaurant. Mark slumped down in his cheaply cushioned and groaned, completely unaware of the booth parallel to himself.
