AN: Each Drabble is a separate story. Thank you for reading! Enjoy!
After Milah passed away, I thought I could never love anyone the same way again. I was slowly strolling through the streets of New York trying to find some inspiration for my pointless life. That was the moment when I spotted Emma.
In a way, she reminded me of Milah but at first I couldn't put my finger on it. Maybe it was her passionate personality and attitude or her radiant eyes that projected happiness. Maybe it was a way the sunlight was dancing in her hair.
Emma was in a heated argument with someone on the phone and I couldn't help but stare. I wanted to find out why she was upset, I was desired to meet her, I needed get to know her. Nothing was going to stop me. I couldn't think of a way to get her attention so acting was my only option.
I literally walked into her but caught her before she could fall. The phone fell someone on the road and was soon ran over by a taxi. We started at each other's eyes what felt was years. She smiled and started laughing.
"Emma."
"Killian"
The hardest part of our relationship was when she found out we were going to be parents. She thought she wasn't ready and she didn't want to have this child. We sat in silence for hours, just staring at each other. After hours of deadly silence, I felt her cold hand on my knee.
"I think we can do this. Together. What do you think?"
I couldn't talk. I just smiled.
It was the best decision I have ever made. Now, my two beautiful daughters and my wife are my life. They are my inspiration.
