"You can't dance?" Roy tried his best to hide his mirth, he really did, but it was just too hard. It was such a simple thing and he just couldn't find it in himself to believe that Edward had done so much, so young, but he was still unable to dance.
"Shut up bastard, I never got the chance to learn! Now can you teach me or not?" Edward grumbles. Trust, Roy definetly wasn't his first choice when it came to this, but everyone else was busy in preparation for the big day and if he didn't learn how to dance before then, Winry was surely going to murder him.
Alphonse and Winry were getting married in a few days and Edward was stuck with the task of giving away the bride, since her father was no longer with them, and with that came the 'father-daughter' dance that was also thrust upon him.
So now, here he was, standing in Roy Mustang's home and trying so hard not to snap the man's neck. "Relax, Edward. I'll teach you how to dance." Roy smirks.
About an hour and a half later and Roy deffinetly wasn't smirking any longer. Who knew someone could be that bad at dancing? Roy's feet were sore from constantly being stomped on, and it didn't help that one of Edward's feet were metal.
"No," Roy sighs in exhasperation, "You're hand goes on my shoulder. We've gone over this already!"
Ed grumbles and looks down to see where he's stepping.
"Eyes up here, Edward."
"Do you want me to step on you?" Almost as if to prove his point, Ed loses his footing and once again, his foot smashes into Roy's, causing their knees to knock together. "Forget it! I give up, damnit!"
Roy rolls his eyes, "The Rockbell girls' gonna kill you if you ruin her wedding." He states.
Ed scowls, "Yeah whatever, this is damn near impossible."
Sighing, Roy grabs Edward again and lifts him up about an inch off the floor with great ease. Edward was quite heavy, yeah but Roy had a lot of muscle. He places Ed down so that he's standing on top of Roy's feet and grabs his hand. "Come on. Let's get this over with."
Edward scowls again and looks away quickly, but Roy catches the tinge of pick on his cheeks.
Roy starts to sway slightly, moving Edward with him, and Ed slowly gets comfortable with the movements. He leans closer into Roy and is soon leaning right up against the older man's chest. Roy is humming quietly along with the music being emmitted from the record player.
Edward's eyes flutter shut as he listens to Roy's soft hums mixing with the sound of his heart thumping against his chest.
