The apocalypse has been a very messy and tiring process. I remember when times were simple and the only things I had to focus on was my faith and trust in God. But that was millenniums ago. Now here I sat in heaven watching over my charge, Dean Winchester. I admit I have more of a liking to Dean than any other angel. But, believe it or not there was a period of time that the Angels had harmony and were pure beings.
Sitting against a tree of a very young age with delicious fruits in plenty atop it's newly grown branches while the skies of heaven turned a unnaturally pure purple mixed with pink and blue was of common sight here, though Castiel's young, innocent eyes could never grow tired of this magnificent view. Even though young Castiel was very shy and quiet the Archangels Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel could tell this young celestial being had very important unknown work ahead of him. While the other angels in training were enjoying their free time practicing fighting others and stretching their heavenly white wings, Castiel enjoyed learning how to help along a lone butterfly left behind in its transformation cycle. As the butterfly slowly but surely broke through its thin shell and tumbled out scared, the little angel gathered it in his hands and calmed the butterfly enough so it could fly its Golden and Sapphire painted wings into the sky exploring unknown territory. The angel looked at the butterfly with longing, hoping that one day he could stretch his Raven wings tinted with blue at the tips and sail through the heavens like it. Hearing slight noise come from behind the sapling he sat his wings on, he turned sharply in fear and surprise just to find Gabriel the Archangel. As his eyes sparkled with wonder as to why this upper class angel was even bothering his time with him. Scooting over and neatly tucking in his wings making room, Gabriel sat beside Castiel and smiled a warm smile. Ruffling the littler angel's hair slightly, he asked, "What's up, little brother?" Causing the smaller blue eyed angel to giggle a high pitched melody answering, "Nothing much, Gabe" "I was wondering what's got you down?" ,asked Gabriel quietly, sitting Castiel in his lap. "Why are my wings a different color than everyone else's and why can't I fly yet?" ,questioning the Archangel. "I means you are special. It means you are meant to do something great and yes, your's are different but so are mine, Cassie" , explained Gabriel showing his huge golden wings to Castiel by flapping his wings twice, which caused Castiel to smile while the wind from the flapping made his hair move lightly with the breeze of it. "But what about my flying?" ,asked black haired little angel. "You are going to be the fastest flying angel in this place once I teach you!" ,exclaimed Gabriel. "Really, you are going to teach me?", asked Castiel bouncing up and down in Gabriel's lap. "Absolutely, but not now, tomorrow when the sun rises we can" ,stated Gabriel with a smirk on his face. Castiel hugged and thanked the Archangel and brother for the special training to come the next day. Gabriel said goodnight to Castiel and waved as Castiel ran off to catch up with the others. Suddenly, Michael and Raphael showed up beside Gabriel." Do you think he knows of his future in helping Michael's vessel?" ,asked Gabriel curiously." Of course not, Brother" ,answered Raphael." Without him Lucifer, our dear brother, will win and we can't have that" ,added Michael.
And that is a little story from Castiel's past with guest of Raphael, Michael, and Gabriel. Hope you liked it. And if you didn't please comment if I should have added something or if I misspelled anything. Thanks for Reading!
