Through the rift
A story featuring the crew of the Starship Enterprise and the Galaxy 26 crew.
Credit to Gene Roddenberry for creating the Star Trek series and universe that I love.
Admiral John Ripley stood on the bridge of his massive ship. Before him was the rift that the IUF sent him and his crew to monitor the rift. On a previous adventure, he had met a man called the doctor, who had saved his skin on a previous adventure. He stood before the view port, looking at the storm of energy. A sudden blast of energy had begun to pull himself and his crew forward, he went back to the holo-table, reversing engines, to no avail. He then activated ship-wide speakers "All hands, brace." He said, he then de-activated the speakers, and then activated shields. He went into the rift, and as soon as he did, he blacked out.
[Later]
He awoke to the touch of a androids fingers on his neck, he kicked awake and saw his ERC awaking everyone. The androids we're the occasional medical officers and repairers on the ship. Later everyone was back on there feet and at there stations, and it seemed nothing had happened until he opened the scanner, they're surrounded, starships that we're cloaked, shields were still up, weapons were online, he began working, powering up the EMP and the PERF. He slid forward an arrow, firing. The enemy ships de-cloaked and we're powered down, the PERF finished them off. Then out of nowhere a starship that was dwarfed by the admirals appeared "Warp capability." He said, a ping notified him of a Comm. request. He opened the channel and said "This is Admiral John Ripley of the IUF, to who'm I speaking?" He awaited for a response "This is Captain Kirk of the starship enterprise, you single handedly took out a klingon patrol of 36 warships. Wow, and…wait, we have incoming." He noted, opening up the scanner, he found the void approaching, soon it was just one tiny ship, but then it was a huge patrol "Captain, I'm going to need to run." The admiral said and repeated the process that he used to take out the klingon patrol. After that, he had thanked Kirk for the help of repairing his engines, and Kirk had thanked the Admiral for helping him. The starship enterprise had soon warped away, and the admiral had went back to his universe. Unknown to both men, there was one void still left.
