After Giacomo Casanova's funeral, Edith left her job. She took Casanova's stories and decided to travel to Venice. She believed Henriette's children deserved to hear the story of the man who held their mother's heart. She planned to head to Naples when she was finished in Venice. Giac deserved to know how much his father loved him. She also wanted to let him know his father was gone.

Edith rode horseback all the way to Venice. All she had was a little money, Casanova's stories, and the horse. She planned on going straight to the Grimani residence. Hopefully they would at least let her spend the night.

She stopped just before entering the city. She looked up at it. She could imagine Giacomo and Henriette wandering around the city loving each other. She could see The Casanova flirting with the ladies and charming the gentlemen. This city was Casanova's home. This is where he had belonged.

And he'd had to give it all up. For a woman. The same woman who always seemed to be just out of his reach. The only thing he ever really wanted, he couldn't have. And then he lost his son to the lifestyle he led. His son learned all the wrong things from his father. She would find Giac and tell him just that.

Edith sighed and rode into the city.
