We had just won our second quidditch match and it was against Slytherin! All of the team had gone in the common room to celebrate with the rest of the Gryffindors. I was giving high fives to my team mates and everyone was shouting happily and hugging the other players when I spotted Hermione for the first time after the match. She was happy and she was talking with Harry and Ron, probably telling them how great they were on the pitch, when finally she looked at me. The moment later I was staring at those gorgeous chocolate brown eyes and she was staring back at mine. I felt like everything else faded away, all the screams, the noise, the peopleā¦I simply didn't notice them any more, she, truthfully her eyes, had all my attention. After some seconds my mind noticed what I was doing and even if she screamed at me to stop, to listen to the others that were complimenting me for the match, I couldn't, it was like my life depended on those eyes and on that gaze she was giving to me. I broke eye contact only because Katie Bell had taken a water bottle and poured the liquid down my neck making me jump for the surprise.
"What?" I asked turning and seeing her running away laughing. In less then one minute the common room became the battlefield of a water fight and everyone was soaked, me included. When I finally got my revenge with Katie I felt someone doing the same thing she did, again. I turned quickly and I couldn't believe it, it was Hermione, after a second she ran away grinning widely. I followed her into the dorms; no one was there beside us.
"No way out now!" I exclaimed closing the door behind me.
"But you won't get me without a fight!" she replied throwing some water in my direction, I quickly moved the bottle away from her hand and I pushed her against the wall, with my free hand controlling both hers.
"Revenge time!" I exclaimed in a victory tone and emptied my bottle on her head. Water was running down her brown locks wetting her cheeks, still red from the run and the fight, and the liquid was dropping on her eyes but even in that moment they seemed as gorgeous as always, and maybe more. Once again my gaze stopped on them, I started to stare and she stared back, it was like a few minutes before, the only difference was that in that moment I felt shivers running down my spine. Almost unconsciously we started to lean closer and closer and finally our lips met. It was better than winning a quidditch match, better than winning the quidditch world cup, better than anything that I had experienced before.
