Ookami Hitokage: Sue me. I know I have to update TWO other stories, but this idea came in my head and I could not resist the urge to write it. It's a uber-short little oneshot. ;D Oh, and Izumi's gonna like it.

Izumi: …Why?

Ookami Hitokage: You'll see!

Ookami Hitokage: I don't own Full Moon wo Sagashite. –sniff-

Make a Wish…

By Ookami Hitokage

Izumi and Meroko were lying in the grass. It was nighttime, and the moon and the stars were visible. Some soft wisps of clouds drifted across the moon inadvertently. The two Shinigami on the ground were simply enjoying each other's company. They weren't really talking; simply lying on their backs, with their arms folded behind their heads.

Suddenly, Meroko let out a soft gasp, her eyes transfixed on the sky. Izumi's gaze briefly flickered to her, before looking up toward where she'd been looking.

"Izumi-kun! A shooting star! Make a wish." The rabbit Shinigami's hands were clasped together, almost as if in prayer, and her eyes closed as she said the words excitedly. Izumi made no comment, his gaze still on the sky. Meroko hearing nothing from her dog companion, opened her eyes and rolled onto her side, drawing her knees up against her chest.

"Izumi-kun?" she asked, timidly poking the other in the arm. Izumi forced back peals of laughter at the movement; did she really think something like that would force some sort of response from him? Well, better humor her anyway.

The Shinigami turned on his side as well, facing Meroko, and deliberately captured her gaze.

"I don't need to make a wish…because you already came true."

Ookami Hitokage: I giggled while writing this. ;P And yes, I am aware it's extremely short…

Izumi: …Well, you have more oneshots to write. Most of them including Meroko and me. So, start writing.

Ookami Hitokage: Oohhh, pushy, are we? Please R&R!
