Disclaimer: The beautiful genius of Farscape belongs to its wonderful creator, Rockne S. O'Bannon, and all the lovely people involved with it such as Nine Networks, Jim Henson Productions, Animal Logic, etc. If I was making money from writing this stuff, do you honestly think I would still be writing only fanfic? ;)

"I have to do this." His voice was soft, yet forceful in its quiet sanctity.
Tears streamed down her face, her voice a choked, harsh whisper; "No, you don't… I can do this… you don't have to…"
"No, baby… I can't loose you again… I have to do this." His voice smooth as silk, barely contained the sorrow and longing he held back… he didn't want to do this, but he had to.
"And you think I can loose you?" the hurt was evident… the pain already bleeding, the open wound stinging.
"You can do it… you can hang in there, get everyone else home… keep Moya and Pilot safe…"
"What about you?"
His silence was deafening… an echoing answer that rang through space without a word being spoken between them.
"No, you cannot do this." Her pain gone, the void filled with her strong, warrior spirit and resolve, not to be disagreed with by anyone.
"I'm already doing this."
The tears fell fast and furious, her heart crying out against his judgment… how could he do this to her… how could he leave her after everything they had gone through…
"I love you…" his voice could have melted ice and metal.
"Then why are you doing this! You promised you would never leave me!" she screamed, her unbearable rage at his self-sacrificing nature pounding through with hurricane force.
"Because I love you."
She choked back another sob, burying her face in her arms, breathing deeply as if she was about to crash into icy water that would claim her forever.
"I love you too…" she whispered into her comms, wishing this was not their last chance in eternity.
"Hold onto that, Aeryn," his own voice faltering, emotions beginning to spill over into his every word, "No one can ever take the from you… never."
Clenching her jaw, she raised her head, looking out of the forward portal to the starry lit vastness of space, the dark red swirling and twisting angrily, knowing it would get it's wish and claim another life.
Crichton swallowed down the lump in his throat, hovering the sleek module just behind the massive Leviathan, preparing for his dive into space… "Any last suggestions?"
"Remember what I taught you, John…"
"I'll never forget… I swear… I'll never forget anything you've taught me… and Aeryn…" Taking a deep a shaky breath, he forged on, "If I survive… I promise… swear to god and every other deity in this screwed up universe… I'll find you."
"John, there is no way…"
"Shh, baby, don't say that… I will… and I'll find you… I promise."
As tears streaked her face, she watched the small white craft speed ahead, leaving a faint trail for their pursuers to follow, the blood red space, ferocious in it's entirety, hungrily swallowing the Farscape One, the ship and it's pilot disappearing into the vast cosmos… leaving her to walk on…
