MEND MY BLEEDING HEART

My first fic lol! ^o^v enoy!

A young woman with brown hair walked on the sidewalk, holding books. Her short skirt swished behind her. She had spent the whole night with Yuske, the one who supposedly was mighty or something. "Tch..." she said. "He wishes." She was helping with his homework, because he was too stupid to understand math.

The girl stopped as she noticed another, sitting in a tree. All she saw was glowing red eyes, and she screamed "Demon!", running out of the park home. She checked over her shoulder many times but she never saw anything. When she got in bed she felt silly. "It was probably just my imagination. I'll go to the park tomorrow and prove it."

-oOo-

Kayko walked to the park, dressed in a pretty sun dress because it was a beautiful day. It was sky blue and it brought out her eyes. She was going to prove to herself that she had imagined what she saw last night.

She stopped at the tree and stared at it. Nothing was up there. She smiled to herself and turned around.

There sitting on the merry-go-round was none other than Hiei, the "fire demon".

Keyko gasped and jumped back so hard she hit the tree. "Ow!" she yelled. "What are you doing here! Trying to kill me again?" she accused, remembering when he cut her with the demon sword. This couldn't be happening, it was all just a bad dream and she'd wake up soon.

He smiled at her, and she was confused. "I was following you Kayko" he said.

She gasped. "What are you some king of creepy pervert!"

"No" he said and stood up. Then he walked toward her and grabbed her hand. "I think you're beautiful."

Kayko's heart skipped a beat as she saw a warm look in Hiei's eyes all of a sudden. He walked her over to the merry-go-round and they sat down and he leaned back, and he spun them around with his strong legs.

"Kayko I realized why I didn't give you back to Yurameshi when I cut you with the demon sword." Kayko stared at him, her blue dress flowing in the breeze. "I wanted to keep you but I knew you didn't love me so I thought I could have you as my slave instead." Kayko blushed at the thought of being Hiei's slave. What would that be like. "But now I'm asking you how you really feel Kayko," Hiei said.

Kayko looked up at the clouds and tears filled her eyes.

"Don't cry!" Hiei said and sat up staring at her. "I know you love Yuske and everything. I'm sorry. I'll leave you alone." He stood up and walked away from the merry-go-round slowly.

"Wait!" Kayko cried. "I always liked you, I thought you were nicer than everyone thought. I'm sorry I said that about you being a pervert and trying to kill me, I just always thought you didn't like me."

"No, your wrong," he said and turned around, then he stopped the merry-go-round spinning. "I'm sorry too for not telling you. I love you Kayko." He smiled. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Kayko's face grew hot and a tear rolled down her face. "Your really asking me out?" Kayko asked with disblief. It was the chance of a lifetime having someone as cold as Hiei ask her out and she thought it she refused she'd never the get chance again. Then she nodded her head.

Hiei grinned slowly and leaned in and kissed her on the neck and Kayko's heart fluttered. "You won't regret being my girlfriend," he whispered in her ear and she blushed and held her neck as he walked away.
