ANGEL YUNA
A tragedy, my inspiration was the song "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan.
A thick smoke blanketed the area, the wreckage and bodies slain and dirty. Two figures walked through the fog; one holding the other to support him in his search. His dirty blonde hair plastered the edges of his face as he looked around.
"Tidus. Let's go back." The darker skinned boy said, composed and quietly and steadied Tidus as he kept on.
"W-we can't. We haven't found her yet. I wont give up until we have." Tidus said determined as he looked all around him. To his left, a woman was cradling her small dead daughter and her husband lay by her side, also dead. Sin's revenge. The wreckage, terror and sadness was easily triple his past attacks. A small group sat huddled around a form on the ground. Tidus sped up and started for the group, hoping it was her. Despite his limp, he jogged over to see the body. A man held her close and the group around her was crying. "Y-yuna…" Tidus said and started to cry as he fell to his knees before her.
"She asked for you. She said she loved you." A woman said next to the man, tears raining down her cheeks. Tidus reached for her and touched her pale cheek.
"Yuna…y-una…" he said and broke down. He held her tighter and Wakka led the group away. Tidus laid her down before him and looked at her face. "Yuna. I love you. P-please…come back." He said and gripped her cold hands. "I can't go on without you. Please don't leave me…Yuna." He said and his tears dropped on her face.
As the tears fell down the curve of her cheek, he studied her face. Her thick lashes were darker than ever. Her hair hung limp around her face, her pale nose, and her cherry lips were chapped and light. He touched her hair and cupped her chin as his tears stained her cheeks. The sky swirled and the wind started to pick up. Some leaves and papers wavered around them. Her gunner skirt shifted away from them. Tidus wrapped his arms around her slim back and held her close.
"I-I'm sorry…I couldn't save you…" he couldn't bear to finish the sentence.
Aqua: OMG!!! sobbing I know! I was crying as I wrote it…I'm going to do another version too. But Tidus will die instead. wipes face I was so sad. I hate that I can't convey a dark mood through words. Did you get that from the beginning? I don't think I conveyed it good at all. Reviews are pleasant.
