DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything. Seriously.

Oh and this is for SuicidalSheep who convinced me not to take down my stories even though I still really want to. Hope you like it, N! Sorry there isn't even a drop of JamesLily!

Sirius Black growled in frustration as James and Remus stared at him blankly. They had been whispering about him again, he was sure of it. Every single time he saw James that week, he was with Remus. Every single time, they would be whispering as if there were some new 'I Hate Sirius Black' club. And every single time, they would shush each other when they saw him coming and paste grins to their faces.

Sirius couldn't help it. Everyone knew he was the one with the short temper. So he stormed towards the common room door, not even bothering to step aside when Lily Evans rushed in, red-face and teary-eyed. He deliberately bumped into her and opened the door so fiercely, the Fat Lady screamed. As he stepped out, he saw exactly who he was looking for descending down the stairs, shoulders slumped and his hair appearing even greasier.

"Snivell-! Er, Snape!" Sirius called. Severus took another step towards the landing before turning to face him. His frown deepened as Sirius jogged towards him.

"What?" he muttered, sticking a dry, scrawny hand into his pocket, undoubtedly gripping his wand. Sirius managed his usual cocky grin and slapped Severus on the shoulder.

"Hey, going through some kind of depression?" he joked. Severus nodded humorlessly.

"Get to the point, Black."

Sirius smiled and leaned in, "If you want your suspicions confirmed, head on over to The Shack tomorrow midnight. Find out where all the shrieking is coming from, eh?" Severus' eyes widened and he nodded obediently.

Sirius grinned briefly, his anger all gone and suddenly grimaced. He had a weird, heavy feeling in his chest. He shook it off. Snivellus probably wouldn't even show up.

"They said yes," whispered James to Remus in the common room, late evening. He held up a letter from his parents with a broken seal. Before Remus could reply, Sirius barged in and stopped in his tracks. James stared at him, trying his best not to grin and pull him into a friendly hug. The smile on Sirius' face turned into a scowl and he turned back towards the door. James and Remus exchanged looks and shrugged. Sirius always had a bad temper over nothing.

"So when can he move in?" asked Remus, over the screaming of the Fat Lady.

"Mom and dad say the holidays. They'd been thinking about it for a while too, apparently. Sirius always comes and stays for the night but they hated seeing him go back to that boarding home."

Remus nodded and smiled, "He would be happy."

"I know but I don't want to tell him yet. Promise you'll keep it a secret, Moony," James demanded.

"Of course," Remus replied. "Anything for our mate Padfoot."

No, I don't hate Sirius. He's actually really entertaining. I just wanted to combine two significant events in the lives of Potter's parents and friends. The breaking of Lily and Snape's friendship and Sirius' mistake. I thought that maybe Snape not only went to The Shack to 'confirm his suspicions' but because he was feeling reckless too which he probably was after his best friend dumped him.

Oh and yeah, its really short because my goal is to never write anything over a thousand words and if this is over a thousand words well then...crap.

Review if it pleases you!
