This is a birthday fic for a super-special friend of mine…
Yami: Who is it?
You interrupted me. *Growls* As I was saying, today is a very special day for my sister. So…HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Bakura: That was my ear you yelled in.
*Grins evilly* Good. Hope that you like this fic.
Ryou: PhantomBrat wants to wish everyone a 'HAPPY 'S DAY!"
Bakura: That was my other ear! Stupid host!
Good one Ry!
Ryou: I certainly didn't mean to shout so closely to Bakura's ear. Sorry Kura.
Yami watched as Yugi slid a dark green wristband on as he finished getting ready for school. The small teen had on a medium-green t-shirt over a pair of black jeans, green shoe laces, a dark green chocker-collar, and the green wristbands. "Yugi, why did you not put on the black ones you usually wear? Or wear your favorite clothes?"
"Because if I do that, I'll come home with bruises today," Yugi replied.
"Should I subject them to…"
Yugi looked shocked, "NO, no Shadow Games! Look, Yami, it's a silly tradition that people do for silly reasons once a year. As long as someone wears something green where it's visible, they don't get pinched."
The spirit looked confused. "Your customs are rather confusing."
"I looked up the origins for this 'tradition' and learned that some people believed in the early 1700's that wearing green on March 17th made them invisible to leprechauns," Yugi began.
"What are 'lep-re-cons," Yami questioned, interrupting Yugi.
"Leprechauns are little men who wear green and cause mischief, rumored to hoard gold at the end of rainbows," Yugi replied. "Back to the pinching thing…"
Apparently Yami wasn't finished with his questions, "So…Since you're wearing so much green, protect the Millennium Puzzle, and are plotting to pinch Joey for constantly forgetting to wear green, does that classify you as one of these 'Le-re-con'-things?"
"Ugh," Yugi groaned as he flopped onto his bed. "I give up."
I hope you loved your birthday present. Love you, my dear sister. Happy Birthday.
NOTE: This is a reposting of March 17th. I had to remove the original due to a rather degrading statement that was unwarranted. The original reviewers were as follows:

I do regret having lost your comments in the reposting of this written gift to my sister and all others who share a birthday on this day of green.
