The 12-year old Ben running. He was good at that. Well, the monster he called XLR8 was good in it. He held Gwen on his back. They were running away. No, fleeing. Fleeing from their family. They didn't want to have anything to do with them anymore. 2 years ago, he, Gwen and Ken were going on a road trip with their grandfather. The world is a dangerous place, but Grandpa had a lot of weapons, so no fear there. If not on the second night, Ben found a strange watch that didn't want to let go anymore. Shortly after, they were attacked by some weird monsters; they were very big, white, and appeared to have no neck. Grandpa imminently took his weapons, ready to fight. But they overpowered him. So easily. So damn easy. Max Tennyson died that day. Ken defended his sibling and cousin. But they took him. Ben activated the watch somehow; and he became a monster. The same he was now. The one he called XLR8. He fled, he ran away. But from the moment his cousin screamed, he returned to take Gwen to safety. They escaped, and later returned, only to find the torn apart body of Max Tennyson. No sight of Ken.
It was the first time that Ben would call himself "hero". The monsters could help him. He wasn't sure what Gwen could do, but he couldn't leave her behind. So together, they went out to find Ken.
Ben's thoughts returned to his current situation. Just like then, he was running to Ken. Ken hadn't returned home in a long time. Ben attention was drawn by a sudden gasp of breath of Gwen. She was still crying. He ran to the hut, right outside town, where his cousin lived. Many trees, many shadows. Ken walked out of the shadows. Gwen got off Ben's back, and Ben crashed to the ground, his legs hurt. Gwen tossed herself into her brother's arms. "They hate us! Why do they hate us? I can't help it!" Ken hugged his sister, placing even his white, abnormally big arm around her. "Ssshhhh, it's allright." Ken tried to comfort her. "We have to leave." Ken looked at Ben. "Get up Ben." Ken picked up his sister, and ran to the back of the hut. He put Gwen down. He grabbed the sheet, that seemed to appear out of shadows. He tossed the sheet aside. Ben had followed Ken, and was standing next to Gwen. The 2 twelve-year olds said in unison: "Awesomobile"
