A/N I don't even know what I'm doing anymore.
"I Guess this is it." He thought, stepping into the chamber. "This is how it ends."
The radiation was extreme, and it hurt. It hurt so much.
He grunted, stepping to the keypad, his power armor creaked with every step. As fast as he could, he entered in the code.
The chamber rumbled, and knocked him off his feet. The rads were cooking him alive, but he didn't care. His goal had been completed. Soon there would be clean, drinkable water throughout the wasteland. Satisfied with that thought, he closed his eyes, and waited for death.
The chamber shook more violently, jostling the lone wanderer around.
His eyes shot open in surprise, and he looked around in panic.
There, a few feet from him, a strange green miasma was growing, slowly filling the room. It quickly enveloped him, blocking his vision.
He simply closed his eyes, as his vision began to fade.
Death would come anytime now. He wasn't even feeling the Rads burning him anymore. It would all be over soon.
.
.
.
Why wasn't he dead yet?
Confusedly, he opened his eyes and immediately panicked.
Green. That was all he saw. Not the sick, irradiated green he was used to, but honest to god plantlife.
"Wha- What?!" He exclaimed. As soon as the words came out of his mouth, he realized something. That wasn't his normal voice. It was deep, dry and gravelly.
He looked around, spotting a small pond. He scrambled over to it, ripping off his power helmet.
He stared at his reflection in shock. He was a ghoul. His skin was dry and thin, and it had slowly begun to decay.
"Oh hell…" he muttered. He supposed he was lucky the Rads didn't outright kill him.
Standing up, he clicked his helmet into place. Sarah Lyons had given him this set. He didn't deserve it. The last time he had checked his Pip-boy, he had been called the "Capitol Crimelord".
Anyways, he needed to find out where he was. He saw some old ruins in the distance.
"That is probably my best chance for human contact." He thought, slowly making his way there.
The trek was uneventful, which he guessed was a good thing. He walked into the old building, and hid as he heard two people talking. It didn't take long for him to get bored. Without any delay, he entered the room in the most destructive way.
Like the Kool-aid Man, he blasted through the wall.
There were two people in the room. A blonde haired girl, and a black haired girl, who had a little bow.
"What the hell?!" The blondie exclaimed.
"Who are you?" The one with the bow asked, her voice low and threatening.
"I, my dear Lady, am the Defiler, the Wasteland Destroyer, the Scourge of Humanity! I am the Lone Wanderer!" The Lone Wanderer Shouted.
"None of those things sound nice!" The Blondie said.
"Well, Blondie, I'm not nice. Also, Why are you even out here? Kids like you shouldn't be out by yourselves. The world is a dangerous place. I'm proof enough of that." He said.
"Wait, you're not a student?" The bow-girl asked.
"…A student of what?" The wanderer asked.
"Beacon Academy." The Blondie said.
"Never heard of it." The wanderer said flatly.
"It's probably the most popular combat school on Remnant. How could you not have heard of it?" Blondie asked confusedly.
"Not ringin' any bells sweetheart. Also, combat school?" The wanderer asked.
"You don't know what a combat school is?" The bow-girl asked incredulously.
"Nope. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm leavin'." The wanderer said, turning around, and walking away.
"Wait! Where are you going?" Blondie shouted at him.
"Away from wherever this is!" The wanderer yelled back.
