Title: Keeping Score
Rating: T for mentions of self-injury
Summary: Allison Cameron keeps track of every insult that Dr. House has ever thrown her way. One-shot
Disclaimer: I own nothing. Boo.

Allison Cameron keeps track of every insult that Dr. House has ever thrown her way. Her body is a composition of tally marks.

There is a collection of small, parallel lines on her thighs for every time he has made fun of her misdiagnoses.

There is a tic-tac-toe board carved into her upper arm from the time he called her incompetent.

There is a raised, white scar on her wrist from the time he told her that he only hired her because of her looks.

And then there is the long scar that stretches from her wrist to her forearm, a reminder of the time he told her that he didn't love her.

Allison Cameron adds a new tally mark to the every growing list on her body, and breathes a sigh of relief. Maybe it's a good idea that nothing ever happened between her and House. If they had ever slept together, she would have had a hard time explaining the scars. With him, she wouldn't be able to just write them off. "You don't even own a cat," he would respond. And what would she say then?

Yes, Allison Cameron is keeping score. And, right now, House is the one who's winning.
