A/N: I'm writing this for the 100 Stories Challenge by MioneWazlib. It'll be one giant, 100-chapter story. Actually it'll be a bunch of one-shots. A hundred of 'em. Well, I think. Some of them might have two or three parts/chapters. But there will be 100 chapters total, I know that. Also, some of the chapters will be really short while others might be a little bit longer.
Disclaimer: I do not in any way claim to own Harry Potter. I am not J. K. Rowling. I am writing this solely for enjoyment purposes, whether they be my own or others'.
Chapter 1) -1. Introduction
There are just some days that are destined to turn out great, despite whatever task is ahead. For example, the first day of school.
One fateful day, two girls living in different worlds each received a letter. Now that in itself is not very strange, people get letters all the time, definitely on the same day. Some of those letters even say the exact same things.
However, in some worlds it isn't common to get letters by owl. And that is why one of the girls shrieked when she looked out her window. She'd expected to find a cloud covering the sun. NOT an owl.
The other girl, quite used to owls flying around the house, smiled when the sun was blocked out. She knew immediately what it was, without even glancing up. That owls flew was common knowledge. They usually were for her father though, not her. That was her first pleasant surprise of the morning. Her second came when she turned over the envelope.
They had been accepted into Hogwarts, a school of witches and wizards.
September 1st, 11:02 AM
A small girl, afraid she'd never find a seat, stopped outside a random compartment. Taking a deep breath she slid the door open. There was just one person inside. Another girl, about the same age, with long blonde hair, reading a magazine.
"Hello. I'm Elie. Can I sit here?"
The other girl smiled at Elie. "Mhmm, of course. I'm Luna, nice to meet you."
Looking at the other, the girls smiled to themselves. There are just some days that are destined to turn out great, despite whatever task is ahead. When you're with your best friend, you can take on anything. Even the first day of school.
