Author's Note
: Just a little something I wanted to write up for MLK Day. I am a little surprised and a bit disappointed that no one has done any art work or fics concerning Mr. King and Alfred's thoughts on him, so I decided to make this little fic to celebrate this special day. This fic is dedicated to everyone!

"Free at last! Free at last!"

Alfred Jones, remembers a King.

"Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

He remembers a King who believed in equality, rights for everyone, and love. He remembers a King who did not let the threats and hate of those who didn't want change bring him down. He remembers a King who stood before millions of people and expressed his dream of a world where everyone of different color, race, and religion stood together in harmony.

Alfred Jones remembers his heart swelling with overwhelming happiness when he saw that all the other countries had come to witness the speech and they didn't just come as countries doing business, but as people who wanted change as well.

Ludwig, Kiku, Feliciano, surprisingly Ivan, Katyusha, Natalia, Arthur, France (who for once wasn't groping anyone), Romano, Antonio, almost all of the countries were there. Ears perked, eyes wide with wonder and hope at what the King said.

Alfred remembers a King and even after the King's death he still remembers and marvels at how the life and death of this man has brought so much change into his country

Segregation ending, unbiased love, kids from all walks of life playing together, the first black president in history.

Alfred Jones remembers a King and as he remembers he weeps before the King's grave.

"I wish you were here Mr. King. I wish you were to see all this."

Alfred Jones remembers a King.

End.
