Now the games are here and I am not here
Not mentally here though, but physically.
Only sixty seconds and the start is near.
A bloodbath where most people turn deadly
Death is at every corner, near and far.
A new day will bring more torture to us,
These games have been changing who we all are.
I know I have to win, somehow I must;
If I do live, death will be inside me.
Food is becoming scarce and I am starved.
I see someone, so I climb up a tree,
They see me and instantly I am killed.
I will never see my family again
The winner always has nothing to gain.
