Disclaimer: I don't own FMA, if I did, it most likely wouldn't be anywhere near as awesome as it is

Hello, It's Heroesblade, or as far as FMA goes, the Darkened Blood Alchemist…This story is the product of boredom in study hall…which happens to take place in a chemistry lab…reviews are very much appreciated -wink nudge-

All the lights were off by now, whether it be classroom or hallway, band room or cafeteria; it appeared as though there wasn't a soul in the school. Clank Clank Clank. The sound of muffled metal footsteps accompanied by softer footsteps, that seemed to be made by the click of hard rubber against tile, echoed through the empty hallway.

"Brother, why are we here again?" a soft, echo filled voice inquired.

"I told you Al, we're her to find out what the big idea is about these 'Science Classrooms'," an older, echoless voice replied.

We find the owners of the two voices, the echo filled voice belonging to a large, 7' suit of armor with glowing eyes. The older voice belonging to a shorter, 5' perhaps, person with blond hair, gold eyes, and a red jacket.

The pair walked in silence for a while longer, until the older brother stopped and said," In here," then walked into one of the classrooms.

The classroom was fairly simple. It had a teacher's desk against the wall opposite the door. There was a periodic table on the wall that was to the left of the door. Storage cabinets were along the wall to the right of the door. There were two isles of student group desks, each isle consisting of four group desks, each one of them had a sink and gas valves.

"I can't believe that people have to spend an hour in here everyday! How boring…" the older brother muttered, and then he spotted a Bunsen burner," Hey Al, what's that?"

"I don't know, but I don't think that you should mess with that, Ed," Al said, reading his brother's mind.

"Come on Al, look at this thing, what harm could it possibly do?" Ed replied, pointing the burner at Al, then plugged it in and turned it on.

While it was warming up, Ed leaned over it, his face a safe distance from it of course, and tried to figure out what it was doing. Suddenly, a small flame leaped from the burner (A/N: Mustang! Come out, I know you're hiding somewhere…), and although his face was a safe distance away, his hair was not. Ed's hair caught on fire, and he frantically tried to put out the flame that was creeping up his bangs. As he reached his hand up to put out his hair, his sleeve passed too close to the flame, and also caught on fire.

"Brother!" All shouted, moving to help Ed. As Ed and Al were trying to put out the flames, the innocent little flame coming out of the Bunsen burner shone a faint light on one of the many lab safety posters, this one happened to say," Keep all loose hair tied back, and never wear any loose clothing when using lab equipment." Needless to say, Ed just learned that rule.

There was example #1 of why you should always follow the lab safety rules…more examples to come. Remember read and review! -wink nudge-
