"You left the light on." Arthur mumbled as he pulled the pillow over his head, Alfred was always doing this to him. However the American didn't make a move to get up. Arthur huffed and rolled over so he could face the other blond.
"Alfred...the light." He was growing even more irritable. All he wanted to do was sleep but somebody needed to get up and turn the god forsaken light off before that was going to happen. He gave the taller blond next to him a light shove and gestured to the light overhead. "You were the last one up, you should turn it off."
Alfred smirked and pulled the blankets up a closer. "Hey, I'm fine. If you want the light off so bad you do it." The Brit sat up and scowled. He wasn't going to get out of bed without a fight. "Please, I can't sleep with the light on. And I'm just too tired to get up right now." Arthur said in his best pathetic and needy tone.
"I have freedoms, Iggy." Alfred yawned and turned over. "I guess we could take a vote, get a bill introduced, see if it passes and then if it becomes a law I suppose I can get up and turn the light off." Arthur grabbed a pillow off the bed and promptly started to hit the other with it. Sometimes you have to use a little force to get what you wanted. "Alright, alright! Fine I'll tun the light off Princess."
For once the Brit ignored the nickname and smiled to himself. "Thank you, I appreciate it." Again he got comfortable and waited for Alfred to get up and shut the light off. Maybe now he'd finally be able to get some sleep. However suddenly a loud bang rang throughout the room, followed by a shattering of class and sudden darkness.
As Arthur gripped the blankets in fear while his brain tried to register what had just happened. The only sound that could be heard was Alfred setting something down on the nightstand before turning over again. "There you go, can we sleep now?" He asked hopefully.
"I told you to get rid of that bloody gun." Arthur hissed as he attempted to get his heart rate under control. "Fucking git." Alfred smiled and pulled the smaller man closer.
"Freedoms, Arthur...freedoms. Now let's get some sleep." The Brit knew there would be a mess of broken light bulb waiting to be cleaned up in the morning. He sighed and closed his eyes, at least the light was out.
